Need help identifying this metal

Can I buy a clue from someone? This has been sitting in my "I dunno" bucket for too long.

The surface patina indicates it is silver plated, but there is corrosion evidence for copper. It is dense like brass. Internally, it is a white, non sparking metal. An acid test on the ground surface it does not test positive for silver, but reacts bluish like copper.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

nickle copper?

That is most likely Silver plated Cupro-Nickel.

I doubt its nickel-copper. most likely white brass.

It does has marks from injection die casting...sorry no input on type though.

Looks like zinc or aluminum to me. Is it an old lamp base? Seems like most of the ones I've seen are zinc. Take a hammer and bust off a corner. If its greyish it's zinc.

Die Cast Aluminum if it doesn't spark. Die cast is heavy enough to make you think it's brass or pewter, the injection pots are a dead giveaway. You won't get aluminum price for it, probably breakage at best since die cast is the cheapest of the aluminum alloys, it's usually aluminum/zinc you may notice if you acid test the bare spot, then wipe it off and let it dry it turns chalky white.
