Is ribbon wire from computers considered communication wire?

I get number 2 insulated for my computer ribbon wire.

It is at my scrapyard. Make sure to snip the ones with gold, though.

My yard wont even buy it. I save it anyways

it typically can go in #2 insulated...if you have the time buy a paper cutter (the old school one with a chop blade)....it makes that end cutting go SUPER fast....just pay attention since you will remove the paper guard.

When in doubt.. ask your yard!

Yard takes it as computer wire .60#

Mine used to take it as low grade wire now they take it as 50% insulated.

I do clip the gold ends, thanks for the replies guys, I guess i will call my yard on thursday
