Indianapolis Locations
Hello - I noticed several recyclers from the Indy area.
I'm getting ready to take a car trailer load of mixed scrap - I'm planning on going to OmniSource off of Holt - what do you guys think of their prices?
Also, I've got about 100# of crushed aluminum cans - where do you get the best prices?
Thanks!!

Went to Omnisource on Wed. $260/ton for mixed ferrous.
Went to a different Omnisource today:
alum cans - $.68/pound
#2 copper - $3.30/pound
yellow brass solids (they obviously have different grades, but didn't separate on my printout) - $1.00, $1.10, $2.00/pound
18/8 unprep (stainless) - $.75/pound
old sheet alum (dirty aluminum) - $.20/pound
irony alum (clean aluminum) - $.60/pound
I was really happy with the non-ferrous location. I had basically separated everything into magnetic and nonmagnetic (the copper and brass were more obvious). Luckily the lady helped me separate out the different types of aluminum and stainless. Helped me get quite a bit more cash.
I'm definately going to start separating everything as I get it and then throw it on the ferrous stack. After going to the second location, I realized I tossed well over $50 with the mixed metal.
