you can cut the brass fitting off the copper line fairly easily with the right tool. i would.

top end $1000.00 "taps" ;) can be made of forged stainless but I have never scraped one.
the taps in the video are actually called "dirty brass" cause there is usually zinc or chromium coating.
there are polished brass ones with no coating usually really old tho or for a garden tap.
453 ish light bulbs to a lb i weighted that one it was a gram.
I will film my next washer/ dryer tear down. it is literally 5 min. because I don't take anything but the motors and wire.

end cutters and a pair of channel locks easiest way to rip the brass off the end or you could use a hatchet.
I do have a bod of brass / copper that I "up"
i like the hand tools idea, but i cut through two opposite sides of those fittings in 5 seconds with a grinder cuttoff wheel. they fall off with no effort.
also, plated yellow brass by me is not dirty brass, even if its chrome plated, they pay clean price. maybe something worth checking out. i dont want to see your film-making budget fall off because you got beat for a few bucks on that brass.
Put mine in the clean bucket as well and haven't had a problem...knock on wood/head.
its dirty brass if there is plastic washers or steel screws. or at least is suppose to be.
