Hello from Michigan
Hi, I've been reading all I can in your forum and love it! I'm in mid-Michigan and getting ready to brave the cold winter. I own a website design company but I love to scrap. I'm mostly interested in e-scrap. I've repaired computers before so this is right up my alley. I love computers! Ha, I'm such a geek. The first computer I used was a Commodore 64 my mom bought when I was 5. I've worked with them ever since.
I live in an apartment in town but my dad is letting me use his garage. My first load was last week. I ended up with 35 towers and monitors plus a few printers and misc. components. The best part...it didn't cost me a thing. A friend of a friend owned a computer repair place and he just wanted it gone. Sweet!
So I'm pretty good with the networking, computers and business stuff. My problem lies with the prices and haggling. This was awesome because it was free and a friend. I'm not sure on how much to offer people when I find a lot. That is what I'm learning most from this forum and probably going to be asking a lot of questions.
I am also interested in learning to scrap vehicles. I just traded my mom for her old car to learn on. It is a Plymouth Horizon I think and is dead. I'm hoping to take lots of pictures and put it up here so I can get everyone's opinion as I go.
Ok, so you probably also see I'm a little wordy. It is so easy to just go on and on about something you are so exicited about! I'm so glad to have found this. Google is so my friend!!
Well I'll give your eyes a rest and get back to reading. I look forward to speaking with all of you.
Thanks!!
Linda

Good to have you with us Linda. I'm sure you can teach us some things as well as get a great education in the archives. I feel like I've been to scrappers school this past year. It has been so rewarding...not to mention making some dear friends here where I think of the core group as my "forum family". Dee
