Ambulance
Good evening everyone. If you was to give a bid to purchase an ambulance-say late 70's or early-mid 80's model,F-350 or possible 450,Dual wheels, raised top(kind of looks similar to some type of modified rounded box truck body).
this vech. might have been in a flood, possible diesel engine,!00+ miles from you.
With that scant info. what might you bid on such?
I was thinking of possible using this to either haul a large pressure washer or convert into a cheap rv,or go back to recycling.

flood damage? i wouldnt do anything with it other than scrap it if it has flood damage.

It will probably be an E-350, I believe they are built on van chassis, not truck chassis.
If it was in a flood, only bid scrap price, $700 tops and that is being generous. I am figuring the vehicle weighs about 7,000 lbs.
For that price, you can try to fix it up or you can part it out to make some money on it.

It all depends upon the condition, hopefully you are able to good photo's or go see it in person prior to bidding. If it's a Diesel engine I would pay more for it, flood damage or no flood damage. I think you need to find more information about this vehicle, if it is on a GSA Auction? call the listed contact person and ask a bunch of questions, milage?? Transmission/ drive train, Deisel? Gasoline? Tires? Suspension? Stainless / Aluminum Box? Bottom line I would do your Home-work before placing any bids.

You gotta remember that ambulances have a ton of idle time on them that you don't see on the odometer. Probably twice of the OD
