28 inch monitor
This thing is so heavy that my hernia has hernias from carrying it to the car and inside the house. Then up a flight of stairs. Fortunately only one floor up. Monday I'll have to carry the carcass back downstairs to my car and to the recycle place.
But I can't complain. It has a ton of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and shred. It even has two high voltage transformers. I haven't gotten to the yoke yet, but even though it is bigger than I've seen before it doesn't look like a lot of copper. The degausing coil is pretty big, and there are two smaller ones to boot.
Also learned a new trick today. The yoke was tough to twist off, so I pulled two of the rubber whatchacallems off the bottom of the yoke and it came off slick as snot.
Now I have to psych myself up for the 27" TV sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Honestly, I think from now on I'm only going to take TVs 25" and smaller. But I'll take the big monitors though.

Slick as snot that's hilarious !

Yes removing the foam sticky things will make removing yokes much easier, from monitors an tv's.
You make me glad my house is on stilts, it makes my shop be under the house, an easily accesible to my van. Load to the van, back up to door, an unload into shop. ;)
Sirscrapalot - Hooked on phonics didn't work for me. You can tell because I didn't edit this post.

I was given a couple of those recently...agreed, they are HEAVY and glad I was on one level. Anyway, like you pleasantly surprised by the material inside.... good luck with the other one.

I have absolutely no recollection of making that post. But since then I moved to the ground level so I don't have to haul stuff up & down the stairs anymore.
And as for the good luck wishes, thanks but that post is over two years old. I'm pretty sure it's done now. I might be slow, but not that slow.

Habit. I can take back my good luck if you like.

No, no, no... It's quite okay. I'll take it when I can get it!

I had to reply to this because it was so lonely with no responses and to prove I do indeed read the older posts.
Now I'm off to raid my local auction houses dumpster , he gives me permission to do so plus today I'm hanging a few pieces of siding that blew off . Easy $150 there and free scrap what a nice day .
