Grading Electronic Boards and Parts

I thought it would be a good time to start adding some pic's of electronic circuit boards and how one buyer has them graded. Different buyers may have different grading processes. This is only for reference purposes so someone knows what we're talking about.

These are called large socket motherboards. This is 486 board. The socket is usually 2 1/8 and larger.

This one is a large socket 370 board.

This one is a slot processor or Pentium 1 board. Still a large socket class.

This is an example of a small socket green board. This one is a 478 board. The CPU socket is 2 1/8" and smaller.

Mech do you turn them in this way , I thought one would have to strip the metal parts off?

If your buyer does not require it, why? You get paid for the weight.

Now we'll start with the cards and smaller parts
These are gold finger cards. They plug into the motherboard, and have a gold edge or "fingers" along one side.

These are classed as peripheral boards, this one is a CD Rom board;

What are they all classified as? Mobo, or lower?

And then above each picture is what that particular buyer lists them as. Save up a decent load and drive to your favorite buyer then watch them go thru the grading process, everything becomes crystal clear.
here is his listing without prices as he is not a member here. Each buyer has a little different grading process, I just used this one cause it had pic's to match, made the posting easier.

I was trying to gauge the size of the board, doesn't look too big. I think a buyer would class it as mid grade motherboard or peripheral. Might depend on how many pounds of them you have.

Id say its about 8 in long so, yes it is fairly small in size. I wasnt sure if that was gold on the surface of the board. If that was the case I thought it might be worth $$$. Ive been dealing in small quantities for now.

About how much do cable co. boards and other peripheral boards go for per pound?

I think they go for around $ 2.50-2.75 lb. Everyone seems to classify or call them something different.

You need to find out from your buyer what class of boards you have for sure.

I agree let the buyer purchase the boards as is, big difference if your shipping to Sipi for toll refining and end up paying for trash.
