Today's Trip to The Scrapyard
I took a split load of 5 categories to Diamond State Recycling in Wilmington, DE which was probably a bad idea for a Friday afternoon. The place was mobbed and it took a lot of time to get everything processed. Still, it was worthwhile trip.
63 lb 316 stainless @ $1.00 / lb = $63
1,040 lb. #1 prepared steel @ $16 / 100 lb = $166.40
1,300 lb. light iron @ $12.50 / 100 = $162.50
280 lb aluminum siding, gutters, angles & plate @ $0.65 / lb = $182
100 lb electric motors @ $0.25 / lb = $25
Grand Total = $598.90. :) Now, I just need to get the volume up so I can take a load like this every day. :p
