I hope you get the theme here we are a recycler who is e-Steward and R2. There are not other recyclers in this site that can say they are both.

-Can we bring a load in personally to your facility, wait, and get paid that same day?
    -Do we need an appointment?
    -Average wait time in person?
-Is there an order minimum for drop-offs?
-Would we be paid in cash or check in person?
-Does our load need to be sorted?
-Can we watch you sort and weigh our load?
-Can we tour your facility while we wait for payment?

Every company that I deal with from large to small understands that their return is always bigger than if they were to just ship the boards and get paid for weight. If that answer is not acceptable im sorry you will have to ask for a refining schedule on a minimum of 2,000lbs. and I would be more than happy to send you over one and you can look it over. Gold changes every day and if I was to give you a price today its not the price when we close on the refining schedule. The time line is 30-45 days out so if the price goes up you will get more if the price goes down you will get less but its always more than the board price.
I will agree with you and support that answer 100%. It is pretty much the same answer I would give to a customer asking about yields. I would be interested in looking at your schedule, If you would send me one to my email at the web site in the link at the bottom of this message it would be appreciated or let me know and I will send it to you in a PM.

Now for the million dollar question.

Are you processing the boards for the PM's or are you just incinerating, running a magnet to remove any steel and then melting into a dore bar and shipping to a copper refiner. Thus the lag time on setelment.

What do you offer on percentage of copper in material?

OK let me try to understand this a little better. IF someone sends you 2000 pounds of motherboards they have to hope your refining methods are better then the company they are currently using? If company a process pulls out x amount of gold and company b pulls out y amount of gold because of their diferent methods wouldnt you want to know that before you sent in 2000 pounds of boards? Or is that just the risk you take in this business? Im really just trying to learn more here as im growing enuff now to start looking for the best refiner I can. Since I dont have the 20000 lbs yet to send to the big guys over seas.

...no idea why you're shouting this. I was asking about delivering items to your mesquite facility. my previous questions about san antonio are because YOUR LOCATION states that you are IN san antonio, thus implying you operate in SOME capacity in San Antonio. I understand now that you do not operate at all in san antonio.

I understand you're not a scrap yard, but almost every other e-waste buyer on this forum offers to purchase from customers in person. That's what I'm looking for. I would like to save on shipping costs and am often in Dallas. I partner with another forum member to do large computer buyouts from time to time and it would be nice to have a "secondary refiner" to drop off at and get good semi-local pricing.

Thanks for trying to answer my questions, but if you are any reflection of the professionalism and customer service that is to be expected from your company, I have no desire to do business with you. Best of luck to you in your business ventures and here on the forum...

As far as your question about company a vers comapany b you are pretty much correct. It is as much work to find a good consistant processor as it trying to find consistant board prices on the forum. They are in the buisness of moving product as fast as they can because of the tight margins they run under.

Processing boards is not an easy job, it's about like me telling you to go write a Broadway play and have it up and running in 60 days. Don't get me wrong I'm not backing this guy just yet, I'm still trying to find out what he does with the material. But I can't remember if he has been mentioned on the GRF or not and not going to go look at this time. If one of the other GRF members want to check and chime in it would help.

Now there are going to be some that will not like the following statement. But I'm fixing to bust your ******, blow your *** and bust your balloon with the following information. Read it more than once so it will sink in too.

Everyone says I want top dollar for my boards because of the gold in them, what gold yield will my refiner get out of the boards? Everyone wants to talk about what gold, palladium and platinum yields are in the boards. Well folks that is an impossible question to answer because the yields can be everywhere on the map. And it is not just because of the refiner and the process they use. A lot of it is just in the manufacturing of the products. Now here is the majic trick, While they have you concentrating on that shiney little piece of gold, palladium or platinum. Now gold you can sell all day long, palladium is a little more difficult with out fees and quantities to justify the fees, platinum is hard unless you know someone that deals in it a lot, And rhodium if you run across it it very tough to move. I have even had indium show up in some of my refined material. What everyone is missing unless they have done thier research is the copper, aluminum content, maybe lead, doubtful on tin. Go do some research on how much copper and aluminum is in a ton of boards. If you are going to get big enough to send boards to a refiner ask for percentages of these metals. Don't just go asking about the gold content. Also understand the that the vast majority possibly do not refine the metals they melt into a bar, have the bar assayed and send the bar to a copper refiner and the PM's are treated as a by product of the copper refining.

Would I send my stuff over seas? Probably not. Why would I want to pay the shipping fees first off? And the first golden rule in haveing your boards processed is never loose sight of your boards. If the processor will not let you or a representative of yours watch the process ask for your material back and run the other way. If you can't watch it then go get you some vaseline and a beer and be sure and ask for a kiss when you are done.

I will make note here that this gentelman seems to be willing to allow his customers to watch the process.

Scrappinred not what I expected from someone as respected as you. We are not a scrap yard correct you get 10x better prices thru us than any scrap yard in San Antonio. (unless you ship overseas) I put San Antonio because it's where I reside. So to clarify.
    1) we are a secondary smelter
    2) we process items in bulk if you would like a tour ease let me I is you are more than welcome
    3) we sort, grade, process, sample random every 5 min.
    4) Assay and ship to the refiner
That being said there is a ton of information about who we are and what we do on our website. If you feel your Not getting enough info you have my phone number I have offered plenty of times for us to talk and clarify our position and our process you have yet to call me. I refuse to allow you to attack my company or my own integrity on this site that is not what this was intended for. I am respected in my profession and treat everyone with the same amount of respect they deserve. So if you would like to deliver to us in Mesquite please pm me and we can make it happen. Customer pays freight to Mesquite so we are all on the same page.
    Thank you

Great Northwest(scrapyard in San Antonio) buys chinese motherboards at $3.25 per # currently... $3.25X10=$32.50 /lb. Your pricing is not even twice this scrap yard in San Antonio. Thank you

Hi ddelatorre14. This may be a dumb question but I'll brave it: Why such discrepancy in pricing for your motherboards? Thank you in advance for your time and help.

P3 and older PC Motherboards $4.25
P4 and newer PC Motherboards $2.25

    4.25 vs 2.25?

Do you buy clean, permalloy backing plates (off of hard drive magnets)? If so, are the nickel plated ones worth more than those that aren't plated? I understand that prices fluctuate; but, can you give me a general idea of the "average range" price? All plastic, brass, etc. has been removed.
