I have a lot of small carbide bits from saw teeth used for cutting lumber...they are coated with silver solder. What is the current price/lb for them?
Jon.
I got around 11 lbs or more of clean tungsten carbide pretty big pieces blasting nozzles and such some arent even used just dont have a need for them

blasting nozzles are $12.00 a pound. Its just a small amount so just send it in a small post office box.
We just acquired roughly 1,400 lbs of roll, punch, dies, cutting bodies, substrates, etc.. what does this usually go for ?
All carbide.
Thanks

right now $11.50 but for your quantity I would say we can do more than that no problem. Give Frank a call at 864 320 0619
I have buckets of asphalt grinding rhino bits. They have carbide tips. Would you only buy yhem if I cut the tips off?
![]() |
Yes we buy the tips only at $11.00 a lb. it's easier to pop them off with a torch then to cut them though.

The leftover slag is called brazing and its fine to have it on there, it's just a dollar less per pound. Even if you could completely remove the brazing the damage has been done to the carbide but its not a big deal its still worth $11.00lb

Inserts and endmills are the same price. $12.25 lb. only price that's different is if it has braze on it.
Appreciate it, thanks.
Just sent ten pounds in check was here about 4 days later! Couldn't be happier. Thank you

the price is starting to go down and it will continue to fall till the end of the year so now is the time to sell your carbide scrap.
![]() |
I would try to get your carbide to us as soon as possible its not really gonna go up after the first of the year and i have no idea what amount it will be then. Some of the largest purchasers of scrap carbide have quit buying until the first of the year and i have never even seen that.
