Just completed my first transaction with Dave. I've gotta say I couldn't be more satisfied it was a quick process and they reimbursed me for the shipping. If you haven't had the pleasure of doing business with him I recommend you go find some tungsten.
I also just completed a 7.5 lb transaction ....all went fast and easy......

New to the site Stumbled onto this tonight. What's the going rate for carbide inserts
Large silver contacts from large circuit breakers and magnetic start switches, the silver is sweated into a tungsten wafer that becomes the contact pad. When this type of contact is refined for the silver the wafer stays behind in the leach usually turning into a Gray powder.Quote:

local company that made breakers closed down not to long ago and we got a 55 gallon drum of the unused little carbide buttons in the contactors but I would definitely scrap it for the silver over the carbide.

Yes....but only after the radiation is gone....you have to leave them in the sun outside for a long time. A couple guys sell us X-ray machine parts and they just leave them in the sun till they're uncontaminated.
