Looking for a good buyer for telecom scrap

Hi to all who read this!

I am new to this forum and decided to subscribe. I am in the phone business. My company sells, installs and maintains business phone systems.

When we install a new system we look for ways to effectively deal with the old system. I think this forum might be a great place to do just that.

I am looking for a reputable individual or company that will provide the best long term relationship for selling my "out of service" telecom equipment.

As it stands today I have inventory of over 400 telephone sets, 100 telecom circuit cards, and some servers that were removed from service.

Is this a good way to look for introductions? Is there a better way?

Hello sir! Unfortunately, the handset will most often need to be reduced to boards+plastic to maximize value. As far as cards....gold has taken a real beating this month, but there are several buyers here eager for your equipment. Check the "Buyers and Sellers" thread.

    Welcome from SW Ohio.

Really take your time to read through all THIS SECTION. You will find what you are looking for. Read the reviews that people have left and contact a few of the telecom buyers. Let us know how it works out. BroJer

Depending on your preferences on involment in processing of this materialyou have other options. You could ask a member to work a deal to pick up and do the processing(breaking down) your matierial themselves. This would streamline the disposal and recycling of your material. Just another way to get it done but with minimal involment by you and your company. Mike.

I think you’ll come across many businesses that buy used phone systems. Run an online search and you’ll find many listings. I see you’ve accumulated a good amount of stuff there and it contains a fair amount of metal, so you could even sell it to a metal recycling facility. I’d suggest you sell the metal scrap at a SIMS center. We sold off a ton of stuff that was just lying around in the garage to SIMS, and got a great price!

1: You can deman the telephones for the boards and keep them in their own catagory and i will pay you $1.25lb - $1.75lb depending on the mix ( Discard any brown boards ).

2: Deman the servers for the Boards and backplanes and make sure to remove any steel, aluminum and plastic covers or back plates and do the same with the 100 circuit cards and I will pay you $3.75lb - $7.50lb depending on the mix. ( Send me pictures and i will give you a quote on your boards )
