Any idea if there are tantalum capacitors in old organs? I found something i think may be. They're clearly marked positive "+" and they're slightly magnetic. Although I'm unsure if it's just the leads coming out of the capacitor (legs) or the actual capacitor itself

May you please take a picture of the questionable capacitor - 99% of the time we would be able to confirm that way. the positive markings do not only appear on Tantalum Capacitors.

Above (post 209) are made by Vishay/Sprague and are 150D Solid-Electrolyte TANTALEX® Capacitors,
Hermetically-Sealed, Axial-Lead, tinned nickel leads (leads should be magnetic). Thanks for the pictures they really help!

The material does not have to be separated by walk-ins. and yes if we make an appointment previously you will be able to visit us directly.

I have a considerable amount of ta caps.
One question , our ceramic and smd are mixed , would this cause a problem for you?
Would you sort, buy mixed or prefer me to presort.
Seems close enough in prices but just wondering.

We would be able to sort the material ourselves, as long as the ceramics are not the majority of material that is in the mix.

are all smd capacitators magnetic?..i have some yellow ones that are identical to the magnetic ones but are non-magnetic

All SMD Capacitors are supposed to be Magnetic - But, it is possible some are not, It all depends on the type of capacitor.
