Sent my very first shipment to this company but unfortunately things are not going too well. Giving it a few more days to see if they can find the package that P.O. shows was delivered to them on Jan 2nd. Wasn't a large amount of product thank goodness, but frustrating nonetheless. Will update post in a few days.
Ok, so I have been silently reading post and been trying to work on these to make more cash than what I have been. I am gonna sort out everything that I know is what you are looking for. I have these really tiny capacitors and trying to get a good clear pic is not going well on my phone. These are about as wide as pencil lead and have close to the same color as pencil lead. Are these also the type you are looking for? I have been pulling them off and putting then in a container, but wanna make sure before I get to many and they not be correct,
Thanks
Tim
You have indicated that the parcel is .78/Lb of Tantalum Capacitors - We indicated that we have not received it yet and that USPS indicates that they have put it in our mailbox, We do not have a mailbox. If you would like we will pay your invoice while USPS looks for the package. It is really not a major issue for us, I am quite surprised that we are causing you frustrations as I personally am answering you on the emails. If you would like please call me directly 800-805-9150 - I am available today as well.
Please email us directly with pictures - info@tantalumrecycling.com
Thank you very much for sending us this package, But we did not receive your envelope containing (as we indicated previously) tracking information indicates it was delivered to mailbox at our zipcode - but we do not have a mailbox we are a factory.
Nonetheless we have processed payment for .78/Lb of Tantalum Capacitors, The funds transferred this morning were $19.50 USD
Please confirm that you have received funds requested.
UPDATE - Evidently small package is MIA in Florida, with the holidays and snail mail it is entirely possible! Company went ahead and paid me for lost product as a customer courtesy. Payment was prompt once issue was brought to their attention. I would not hesitate sending them another package as I believe this was not their fault.
Anytime a package is lost it IS frustrating, does not matter if it is worth 1.00 or 100.00....it's frustrating. Sorry if my earlier post frustrated you but it was my understanding we should leave feedback for buyers, which is what I did. I also updated my post with final outcome. And yes we emailed one another for 2 days, that was never an issue to my knowledge. It's done and over, it's all good.
It took me approx two months. I took a few off here and there as to not downgrade my board. It takes ALOT of tanti's before you see any weight increase. I was curious and gave it a try, not worth the time involved in my opinion. But again that's just my opinion. Great prices on tantalum if you can get the volume though, good luck to everyone.
It depends on the type of products you are processing, If you are obtaining Telecom boards then yes it is absolutely worth it. If you are processing regular Desktops and CRT Boards then it is not worth it.
Telecom, Hard Drives, Medical, Military, Oil & Gas, Aerospace more complicated heavy duty electronics is where you will find the highest amounts of Tantalum Capacitors on the boards.
Actually I'm incredibly impressed that they paid you without receiving the product. As you said before in this thread, you believe it is not TantalumRecycling's fault the package was lost. Many companies would ask you to sort it out with USPS or ask that you file an insurance claim for lost product. MOST companies would not pay for material they did not receive.
I have done business with this company and would highly recommend them. I don't see the problem in their response to you and I feel that your reaction was uncalled for especially after you received prompt payment for product they did not receive, but that's my opinion.
i found some smd tanti's on an old style h-p computer scanner
Most of what I scrap is telecom equipment and I see the epoxy and smd caps all the time. I just went out in the garage and this card was at the top of the pile.
