Most of us don't break the glass and pull out the electron gun. Or at least I think "most of us" don't. Generally speaking, we turn in the whole tube intact (with the plastic casing screwed back on). I am concerned that if we do break the tubes to pull out the electron gun, that could complicate the ability to get rid of them at some point down the road. Kind of sad in a way, because the gun could add to the bottom line. But not worth breaking the tube though, at least not for me.
I do admit that I agree with sawmilleng's point. Not going to get into any discussions though, nor do I wish to judge anyone. But I do like to follow my conscience, and am willing to forgo profits rather than compromise what I think is the right thing to do.
