Two days in a row with big copper bumps! Paid $4.05 for a small quantity of Cu #2 today. Woulda gone as high as $4.12 with sufficient weight! What a hot way to end the week.

Adding another item to my buy sheet and updating pricing again quickly since some aluminums have also bumped this week. The new item is the aluminum copper heatsinks with the copper slug in the middle as with the photo below. These generally come with and without a steel bracket and always have extruded aluminum surrounding the copper core. On the price sheet these will be labeled "Al/Cu 6063 heatsink". Price for these with the steel bracket is $1.38/lb and without it $1.54/lb. These very occasionally have other steel beyond the bracket. These will be bought at the bracketed price. Will be adding other pricing for other Al/Cu heatsinks types in the near future. A few other price updates below for the aluminum bump.

    Price updates

    Cu bare bright: 4.30
    ICW #2 35%: 1.10
    6063 bare: 1.30
    EC wire: 1.25
    6061 extrusion: 1.18
    Painted aluminum: .65

    Prices updated!

Both aluminum and copper have dropped significantly since I last posted, 6063, 5052, 6061 and EC wire all fell quite dramatically. Oh well. We do what we can. Some examples below of today's non-ferrous pricing.

    Aluminum radiators: .50
    Red brass: 2.91
    Romex: 2.25
    Bare bright: 3.98

I think you have to adjust your settings for your sent messages to be automatically saved. The default setting is for them to not save

I just finished my first two transactions with JJ. There was a post office glitch. But other than that it went off great. Working on my third box of bare bright today. A few weeks ago he quoted me $4.05 lb and I jumped on it. As of two days ago he jumped up to $4.23 lb.

    Time to jump again.

Price updates! Aluminum has dropped significantly but copper has rebounded a bit. Some examples below.

    Copper #2: $3.82/lb
    6061 aluminum extrusion: $1.05/lb
    Brass shells: $2.40
    Lead-acid batteries: $.22

New pricing for full truckload quantities of #2 copper wire. The wire can be baled, boxed or loose. The truckload does not have to be all the same wire to qualify for FTL pricing. There are a couple of other non-wire items that could go on the truck to fill it up as well (low grade and power circuit boards and electric motors, amongst other items). For these quantities the pricing for today was:

    ICW #2 80%: $3.00/lb
    ICW #2 70%: $2.63/lb
    ICW #2 60%: $2.22/lb
ICW #2 50% (including Cat-5/6, solid copper Coax, open eye heliax and such): $1.87/lb
    Harness wire: $1.80/lb
    ICW #2 45%: $1.70/lb
    ICW #2 40%: $1.42/lb
    ICW #2 35%: $1.24/lb
