All you really need to do, is take a hammer or sledges and one or two good whacks will knock all the plastic off.

Another thing you can do, is sell the really good phones to someone who fixes them up and resells them.
The math was done.. you lose money by sending in boards only. Not just in weight but in time.

Rule of thumb that I've come up with. If it isn't soldered on take it off.

Yeah, I pretty much do that... I guess that adds to my question: Do I include the separate LCD screens with my cell phone boards? This is my first go at cell phones, and I want to separate things properly to maximize my take.

Had some issues early on. I believe we should have this fixed today!
Once that is up and running (bug free) we will introduce additional functionality, very excited!

    Thanks

I took a sample group of around 20 of the same phone and broke them down.........I figured out that I was losing my ass breaking them down as I normally pay $3-$4 a pound for phones.........Ewasted makes it very simple.....Remove the back and the battery and ship them in for a nice profit

So, let me get this right. The whole board in CD/DVD drives can go as mobo grade? I have just been sending the all green larger one not the smaller green/brown one. Also, is the board in floppy drives considered mobo grade too even though it is not green?

I believe in an earlier post ewasted stated that the cd/ DVD boards can go from 2.50 to motherboard pricing. I would think that the small board that is green/brown would be low grade as well as the boards from floppys. There is not much on those.

Do you buy clean, permalloy backing plates (off of hard drive magnets)? If so, are the nickel plated ones worth more than those that aren't plated? I understand that prices fluctuate; but, can you give me a general idea of the "average range" price? All plastic, brass, etc. has been removed.

Would it be cheaper than going with FreightQuote? I've already got an estimate from them for about $225 for 1500 lb pallet

I wanted to take a minute to say thanks to Mario! I moved to Miami this summer, and my dad and Brother took over Thortek Recycling in lima. The ground work I laid, and my old man's ambition have really paid off! They loaded up the old man's new truck with 3000#'s of material to take to the team in mentor! Even after The team at cfcs found a great, and I mean GREAT freight price to send everything on pallets! (My step sister's husband the "freight broker" quoted $700 and the team at CFCS quotes nearly 1/3 of the price)

When the guys arrived today they thought they'd drop pallets and head back. NOPE Mario sorted the boards and cut them a check before they left town!

Amazing service and as a FYI pricing that is 25% higher than anyone else I've found!

    Thanks!!!

Sorry if this sounds dumb, I just started getting into e-waste this year, and I was wondering with out going through the entire 19 pages and reading everything you buy e-waste and pay for the box and shipping?

    Again I am sorry lol
