Congrats on a nice load and the wife did the delivery to boot. I guess the only potentially bad thing was she might still have the money. lol Mike.

hey great deal i liked your website...
Have to say glad to have someone I trust with my money and my material......Sent around 700lbs last week and the check arrived this week with no problems...........Very smooth transaction and I have no worries sending my material to ewasted!!!!! Keep up the good work!
I followed all the steps on the site and printed my packing slip and everything, but I'm having a problem with the prepaid shipping label.
I filled in everything required and it says that I'll get an email with the details shortly but I still havent got anything.
This was like 7 hours ago, does it normally take this long or am I just missing something?
I was told by ewasted that an actual person has to give the pre paid shipping quote and being the weekend prob nobody logged in to do it.....I'm sure monday morning someone will get right on it.......Hope that helps
Yea that happened to me. Requested it Sunday morning. Got it first thing Monday morning. It's worth th wait with the money you will save on shipping. I didn't wait and it came back to bite me.
They are not open sundays. You should get it monday. it is not automated, they have to manually input the package info.
just wanted to say thanks to ewasted for giving great customer service & working with me this weekend. was worth the drive from north carolina to ohio.
yup, got the label this morning, dropped off the package this afternoon. good stuff
The team at ewasted are great i think. Look at it like this for a moment. No one know how many people send ewaste to them. A lot i will assume. On my boxes they take two day to get there and they do there thing. Gradeing weighing and look at the things i put in that i dont know what they are and check in hand in five days start to finish now that is good service. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Five more boxes on there way!
Prices updated!
Hope all of you had a great 4th!
God Bless America

I have a couple of questions regarding shipping and packaging for those of you who've done this a few times.
Most of the boxes I have are 16x14x14 & 12.5x12.5x11.5 with a few odd sizes thrown in.
The estimated weights I have are - 75lbs+ Mobo's; 30lbs+ fingers; 100lbs HD; 75-100lbs CD/DVD; 100lbs junk boards; 30-40lbs of Tele/Printer, etc.; 10lb+ ram; 15lb CPU; + some Misc stuff I haven't packed yet.
Kind of feel like I'm over thinking this...but here are my questions
1. Does a packing slip go in each box?
2. Is 10-15 boxes too many to send?
3. Do I mark each box 1/12, 2/12, 3/12, etc.?
4. Would shipping be less if I consolidated into bigger boxes?
5. Anyone use package filler to prevent boards from moving around/breaking?
6. Brown boards - when are they feasible to ship?
[QUOTE=curlzcopper;86829]"I have a couple of questions regarding shipping and packaging for those of you who've done this a few times.

First you need to consider the cost of shipping vs the value of the item you are shipping. All my previous shipments I sent to ewasted cost about$0.50 per pound. I shipped in indivdual boxes and I saw no difference in costs per pound and I used several different sized boxes.
So for me mobo's, finger cards, ram, cpu's, telecom, hd boards and cd/dvd boards all pay enough to justify the shipping costs. When it comes to whole hard drives its for me questionable. On whole cd/dvd's and "junk" boards no way can I justify the shipping costs at $0.50 per pound.
Just today I was able to assemble a pallet load of 10 boxes with a weight of about 700lbs and shipped to ewasted via Fedex freight. The cost was about $193 for the pallet. I had to drive about 60 miles and ended up having to re-assemble the pallet on the dock because they were unable to get the loaded pallet out of my pick up.
If the numbers hold up my shipping costs will be about $0.275 per pound. I was able to justify shipping power supplies that I can only get $0.075 per pound without the wires(the ones I shipped had the wires still on). With the addition of some lower valued items I will cover the entire shipping costs.
I suggest you figure out the exact value of the items you are intending to ship and determine if you want to ship the lower valued items. Make sure you read the old threads on electronics and if you continue to have questions determining values send ewasted photo's.
I have to say ewasted continues to shine with some real customer service. I will make a post on this shipment after it is completed.
Lastly you do need to include a packing slip in each box. I am sure ewasted personnel do the best they can but nothing replaces paper work.
Best of luck, Mike.
what do you do if you have no dock or lift
I get a quote with a departure point at one of the local freight docks. Then I have them unload the pallet from the back of my truck. Sometimes they won't unloaded it for you, and you end up hand unloading, and then rebuilding everything. Most of the time though, they will unload it no problem. I've seen guys strap an empty pallet on the roof of their car, pull up in the parking lot, take it down, add the gaylord, and then unload the car into the gaylord on the pallet, right out in the freight dock parking lot.
With the amount of weight that some of you guys are shipping, you really should be shipping LTL rather than FedEx/UPS/USPS.
I enjoy the free key chain magnet that came with the check in the mail.
Nice touch.
Two successful transactions with ewasted. A 17lb. package and a 25lb package. My next package Im shooting for 50lbs and then the next one 100lbs. Its getting easier to get stuff and ship stuff.
Just got done on a road trip to ewasted. 300+ lbs, check for 740.00. Not bad, quite happy. Showed up at the door promptly twenty mins to 8. Door was open at 8 and I was unloaded/ paid by 9ish and on the way to the lake for the day. Sad thing is I spent 500 in 2 days between going to the lake and kennywood in pittsburgh, Pa on the way home. But I needed the vacation and my 3 year old son, wife, and nephew enjoyed the trip.
Thanks Mario. Another "small" box is coming next week. Just bought more lol. Would highly recommend him.
Ps. Mario had no qualms when he opened the trunk and seen the mix., I had every available space in the trunk stuffed as well as the back seat, In fact I kinda wish I had a camera when Mario opened the trunk. The look on his face was priceless lol, like wow man, you stuffed that much in the trunk..lmao.
Not posting my total weights or nothing like that in case I got better pricing from Mario than others. I dont think he did anything special price wise, but just in case he did, not posting that info.
Highly recommended.

I don't speak for ewated but have done busines with him. If you send him good photo's he can give you accurate pricing. Also look at the sticky thread in the break down section.

Even though you have a lot of experience there are good photo's and descriptions. I'm certain you will find the lowest grade boards are not worth shipping, one of them is brown boards found in old monitors and tv's.
Seriously consider using ewasted shipping label it is a cheaper price than you most likely can get. Mike.
Was already mentioned by another admin when talking to him about posting a thread. You posted before I had a chance to pull it to send direct.
Non paid can't post a thread and I didn't want to only post to one buyer was the reason I posted in two of them.
Another great experience with my latest shipment. It was processed very quickly and accurately. I can not say enough about how much I appreciate ewasted effort to make it easy for me. I only wish I had more to send, Mike.
After receipt of material how long has it taken to show as processing?
About a day.
Prices updated... Unfortunately not for the better due to market changes.
Additionally we finally had to give in to adding another category for motherboards. Since all other buyers had initiated the category, this material was dumped on us from all over the place. So necessary changes were made.
Any material received before or on 7/17/2012 will be paid from the previous price list. For any material already in transit, those materials will also be paid on the previous price list. Moving forward the new price list is effective until changes in the market. Thanks!
I am now a sad panda!
:(
Can you specify more about the chinese small socket.
Yes sir... will work on posting some photos.
Sent my first load of e scrap to Ewasted last Thursday. I got the final number about an hour ago. They came in within a few dollars of what I expected. They also provided a lot of support. I had lots of questions and they answered them all. And they gave me a rate on shipping that was about half what my local shipper could do. I will continue to work with them whenever I can.
Thanks to all of you on this forum. There is more information in an user friendly format here than anywhere else I have found. Hope to be able to pass on anything that will help others in the future.

Ewasted; Is that price for all chinese boards or are the small socket boards only certain ones?
Currently any non green motherboards, with the exception of P3 and older boards.
Dealt with them once now. Sent 141 lbs. Good service, good pay. Thanks
For steel on finger cards, is that referring to the bracket on them or only heatsink's, batteries, ect?
Finger card bracket is "ok" for now... please remove batteries and heatsinks though.
Bummer on the seperations, but we all saw it coming. This thing is still very new to the world, and I am sure there will be more surprises down the road. No idea what they will be, but that is why they will be surprises.
