Thanks for update!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we're good to go to send in new boxed shipments through the website with your labels?
Got the check. Thanks again for all your help, ewasted. I'll have another box or two ready for you soon! Cheers
I know ya'll have been behind and trying to catch up but I was wondering when you would be able to go ahead and process the two shipments you currently have of mine? If it is going to be a few days then I'll have to make some other arrangements on payments I owe to people. Your service has always been good in the past. Regards, Chris Hyder, Hyder Consulting & Recycling.
Finally got around to start breaking down the PC graveyard I was building up AND scored a deal with a local PC repair shop today. Looks like you'll be getting a box from NY soon!.
Edit: Do you buy Li-ion batteries? I have a small pile accumulating and would like to include it in the shipment if you take them
hi ewasted how do I get in touch with you for selling cell phones? I noticed you have prices posted.
thanks Diane (very new at this)
Hey E-Wasted:
I have my shipment almost ready. How do I class a Socket 423 Motherboard? They were Pentium 4 machines, but this is the socket design:

The CPU is way larger than a 478:

Should I group these as small socket boards, or large socket ones?
Diane, Either email them or during regular hours (8 to 5 I think) you can go here and down on the lower left it says "online chat" you can chat with them one on one. Cash for your Computer Scrap | Cash for Computer Scrap
138 lbs headed your way while I'm off for a quick vacation. Nothing like money waiting when you get back home!!
Valuable? Socket 423 | eBay
Am I missing something? Some sold for $0.43 with free shipping! Is there a special 423 to look for? I know the fastest chip for a socket can be valuable.
What am I missing?
Getting ready to send a small 33 pound shipment to pop my e-waste cherry. I would recommend using the pre-paid labels as my quote was 22% cheaper than what FEDEX was offering standard. One thing to note is gmail put the shipping quote in the spam folder so I missed it at first. My shipping worked out to $0.64/lb which was less than I was expecting for a smallish load. I will post reviews when it all goes through. I am excited to see how close my grading is to what ewasted decides.
If you look at the picture of the processors that were posted there is no speed on the processors. These are test chips, which is why they are marked confidential. You can come across processors by intel marked "ES" (engineering sample) and "confidential" which were not released to the public but still made it into odd machines. They are rare and lots of people in the computer field collect them. They bring a premium.

New Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 CPU Processor QGPK ES Confidential 2 83GHz 12MB 1333 | eBay
But that really should be a topic for a separate thread, we shouldn't hijack ewasted's thread.
Got it! Sadly, mine are just average chips. Good catch, though. I didn't notice the image was of prototype processors. Mine are the same socket, but they're just worthless 1.5 GHz Pentium 4's.
Back on track: I'm assuming the motherboards are large socket, and the CPUs are Green Fiber with heatsink and pins?
Slightly off track: On these (and the Socket 478 Pentium 4s), would I make more money leaving the heatsinks on or removing them? The price for processors without heatsinks is about $10/pound higher. Is it wiser to leave the heatsinks on, or to pull them and sell them separately (As aluminum???)
Thanks!
I get a better price at my local yards for clean aluminum. I figure the more space I can save in an eWaste shipment, the better
Sent my first ever box of ewaste in, about 31 lbs and got $71.11. Thanks to eWasted for the great prices and excellent service. They answered all my questions and concerns quickly. Cant wait to gather up enough stuff to send in again!
I was a bit impatient after not hearing for a few days. I messaged ewasted here and messaged on their website, afterwards I saw the comments here indicating that they are busy and somewhat backed up. They responded and processed my shipment promptly after I reached out to them. I got good money from a shipment of 35 pounds, and that's with no ram or cpus. I will absolutely do business with them again!
