Mechanic, that's fine if you can deliver it yourself but I would have to ship so it wouldn't be worth it for me. The platters might be better to use as filler in the box.

USPS as in United States Postal Service? As in the "not here in Canada" Postal Service? I know it's crazy, but for some reason the Canadian government has this weird idea that they don't want the United States setting up branches of their postal service here in Canada, and instead they insist we use the Canadian postal service, Canada Post, for some strange reason. Whacky, I tell ya! Unless of course you're referring to a different USPS, in which case please pardon my confusion.

Unfortunately, using Canada Post kills the idea of cross-border shipping for recycling. I was quoted a tick over $80 for shipping a 30 lb. box to Ewasted. It seems that shipping in multiple gaylords at once is about the only way it's economically feasible.

You could use a service like "BOOKS TO THE BORDER" OR "CHIT CHATS EXPRESS" these companies work with ebayers alot. they drive over the boarder everyday and mail stuff and can save you money.

Best Price Shipping Supplies, Ship in Canada and to U.S. & International from Toronto

Check out this site, they claim they can save you 70% on shipping to the US! What I would do is see if they can drop off at a Fedex location and then you can use Ewasted prepaid labels. That would save you alot also.

Thanks Twisted, I never even knew services like that existed. Unfortunately ChitChat's is located, and services, the other side of the country. I emailed Books to the Border for more info, will see what happens there. Thanks!

what grade do you consider xbox and xbox 360 motherboards? I know there are a few generations of them, are they all the same price? I asked here because the answer will probably help a lot of people.

I may need to look for a back haul from Ohio.
Someone correct me if I am wrong...about 200lbs per Gaylord loosely packed. That's about what I had when I brought it by me. I unloaded my trailer into 2 Gaylords which was 400lbs.

I believe that in my experience xbox boards were priced the same as green computer motherboards.

Great experience. Mario is a great guy and I hope to be able to hold onto stuff long enough to drive out there again instead of shipping it when i need the money.

Just finished my first transaction and even though I had sent 130 lbs of assorted items due to a move, these guys got the job done and paid out very quickly. I appreciate their customer service and would definitely be doing business with them again. Thanks!

I’ve never been so happy with a buyer of scrap, and I truly mean this. I’ve been sending these guys about a box a week for a few months now and have never been let down. At one point in time my wife packed the wrong batch of motherboards (all still with batteries) and these guys were courteous enough to not discount my payment. Now this is customer service and I have a feeling that this will be the new standard of this industry moving forward.

For too long scrap yards have been taking advantage of their customers by haggling them about the minuscule details of their items not being prepped right, posting prices that they don’t intend on honoring and all around being sharks. There is a real disconnect here, and an opportunity for the companies like E-wasted to steal market share. My humble suggestion, as a part-timer to this business, is that other yards revisit their customer service strategy. You want loyal customers, than I suggest you become loyal to your customers.

    Thanking you sincerely,

    Jeremiah
