Need Help Identifying Type Of Brass

Hi everyone just recently i picked up some brass pieces when i went out looking through a council hard rubbish collection
for goodies but the problem is these brass pieces have a slight magnetic attraction to an earth magnet, i spoke to a friend
of mine who has knowledge of different types of metals, and he says the brass probably contains nickel that is why it shows
a weak attraction to an earth magnet but i am still unsure. This is what i have picked up, i have picked up some brass knobs
some brass gas nozzles which i pulled out of a barbeque. plus i found and old style tap and all of these pieces seem to be
mildly attracted to the earth magnet i have, where as some of the other brass pieces i have are not attracted to the earth
magnet at all. All of my brass pieces look like yellow brass and i am pretty sure they are not brass coated steel pieces.

Here are the pictures below i am hoping someone can help me sort this out i am really confused here.

Nope sorry there are no screws inside any of the brass knobs i helds onto the knobs and undid the screws from the inside of the removed drawers, and i cant see any steel inside any of the taps either, i am still confused.
When i get time i will cut one of the pieces in half with a grinder to have a closer look. Should i throw these pieces in with my other yellow brass or should i keep them seperate and tell the scrap yard?

Throw them in with the other brass, you'll be fine.

As far as the valves go, they probably have small spring steel O rings or springs imbedded in the valve somewhere.
