    #2 Heavy Melt Chicago Market

    I am needing to monitor prices for steel scrap in various markets. One of the key ones is #2 Heavy Melt scrap prices in Chicago. I do have a subscription to AMM and when I look at their prices I see that they have #2 HM in Chicago but the last update was 4/5/2012. I don't need to have a daily price change but I would think the prices would have changed over the last two months. Should I be looking at another index to gauge the Chicago market?

    Better yet call them and ask why there hasn't been an update in almost two months. It might have went sideways last month in chicago. I can put money on it though that its going to drop significantly this month.
