Didn't realize prices went up and got burned at 2.40 a pouind for #2 last week beware of lowballers when the price is going up everywhere else. I would mention them by name but I guess that wouldn't be cool on this site.
3.10 today for #1 copper!
Time to dig out my stash and cash it in
I hauled in a $3k load of nonferrous on Friday. #1 was 3.30 but they said it is dropping here in Michigan.
My yard here in Milwaukee, WI is for the most part is solid at 2.80 a pound for #2. When it dropped from 2.85 a couple of months ago, the price on yellow brass jumped .20 too 1.85.

$3.10 #1 $2.95 #2 $1.40 clean aluminum copper radiators/fin =) here in kansas city
Finally, Finally,Finally, found over $3 lb. $3.04 at a yard on the west side. It would be worth the extra half hour to and from my usual yard to make up to both the $2.40 lowballers at the yard 5 minutes away and my usual yard 20 minutes away. I've been saving since Jan looking for over 3$.
Got $2.00 for my #1 last week.
Yup. Montana sucks for recycling. Must me lower because of the transportation costs. And there is no compition here. There is not another scrap yard for ninety miles and it is of the same chain.
doesnt prices typically see a drop as winter comes in? is right now the ideal time to sell?

Brass breakage (coated yellow brass) $0.32
AL cast $0.43
