    down again

I can't believe it. Not only have we ( here in Flint Mi ) have not seen an increase in copper, now steel has taken 2 decreases. Went from 220 a ton to 210 last week and now today, unexpectedly, down to 180 a ton for sheet steel. Had I seen this coming I proly would have gone back to stockpiling mode.
    I through whining now.

I know this is completely off point but I just recently read that Flint Michigan is the FBI's pick for the most dangerous city in America.

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

We're paying $175/net ton on the east side of Detroit. Started the month at $195 and we were $205 last month. This last decrease was a bit of a surprise for everybody.

Yeah it's not a pretty picture. The lack of jobs is taking it's toll. Since GM pulled out and moved factorys to Mexico and other places things just haven't been the same. I fear they will never be the same. I personally haven't had permanent employment in almost 4 years. Scraping helps, when prices are up that is.

That sucks man. I know there have been a lot of race fueled riots. I have a pastor friend that lives up in Michigan and he was always saying Flint wasnt too bad a place when he lived down here. I kinda see a similar trend all over America and the media keeps saying more jobs are coming BACK to America....... malarkey. Stay safe friend.

I take my stuff to Saginaw, I got 200 3weeks ago, down to 180 where I go and 170 at the other one. Copper is 3.00 for #1 and 2.80 for #2
Do you have anywhere to take ewaste down there? I've been trying to find somewhere not to far and can't seem to find a place.

*** I saw the other posts... I don't envy you for staying in Flint, I am only about 15min. outside of Saginaw and I ONLY drive into the city if I can't avoid it. Not as bad as where you are, but lots of young folks now days majoring in stupidity and ignorance to say the very least.

So far I have just been saving my e-scrap. Detroit is the closest place to take it and for the amount I have it's not worth it when you figure time and fuel. Need to find someone here in the greater flint area.
