Some buyers post their prices on a mostly regular basis, while some seem to regard them as some kind trade secrets. I have noticed this occurring in several places, and am wondering why wouldn't they want to post and update them?

I've noticed that too Bear. I'm much more inclined to deal with a buyer who posts his prices.

The consolidator we sell to sends out e-mails with prices. Everyone receives that amount.
They're competitive and don't play the secrets game.
That's the primary reason they get our business.
