Is this worth anything?

Hi guys,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I've just ripped out an old gas heater from a fireplace and I was wondering if it was worth anything and if I should call a local scrap metal company to see if I can get any cash for it, or if I should just drop it off at the recycling plant.

If it's worth anything, any idea what would be reasonable to ask for it?

I'm based in the UK if that makes much difference.

If it's basically a chunk of steel it's worth about 10 cents a pound here...but you pay shipping.

might not be much volume but there may be some brass or SS in it. If you can't resell it locally for better than scrap, take it to your scrap yard and pocket the cash
