Prices vary a lot around Hampton Roads VA. Last I checked (last week) anywhere from .73 to 1.70/lb.

i always get the same price as regular brass, it just has to be seperated
In case you havent noticed, The USA is on a ammo shortage.
You could try to sell to someone who reloads for a much better price

The only two places I know of that buys them pay 1.00#, I don't know why.
I would try to find a reloader or 2 to sell to.
Or sort them out and sell the sorted bass. With the ammo "shortage" lot of people reloading again.

.50 ae and .500 s&w im seeing going for $6 pound
i have 23 pounds of 9mm and 250 rounds of .44mag that im having a hard time moving, but the rest has pretty well sold
i sold 7 pounds of .45 acp at $4 pound and the buyer covered shipping and paypals fee
i have 50+ pounds of 22lr thats gonna have to go for scrap

I tried selling several different calibers of ammo - couple hundred pounds - that I'd picked up at an estate cleanout. Thought I had it sold. Then the guy backed out cause I had no idea how many times they'd been reloaded. Not fooling with that again - it's all going to the scrap yard.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Mick that just about takes the cake as the lamest excuse ive ever heard. But like any other deal its not sold till its gone. I just keep modifying my ad for caliber and quantity and it all sells in good time. Like anything else your gonna have good experiences with people and bad ones.
