Gold and silver pricing 4-12-13 - negative trend

Heads up. Gold and silver spot price taking a bit of a beating today. Off about 4%. Expect pricing adjustments for your ewaste buyers. Copper showing weakness too as it's off almost 3%.

Really rolling up into the close. Off almost 5% for gold and almost 5.5% for silver. Tough day if you were long. Stay frosty on your ewaste purchases and price accordingly. Your buyers will have Monday morning adjustments I would think.

Yea I figured they would make adjustments Monday morning just when my 200 pounds of boards are getting to the buyer. Should have shipped a few days earlier. Oh we'll hope it isn't too much of a hit for me.

Yup just like gas prices, quick to go up slow to come down, only with ewaste its quick to go down slow to go up.

Did something happen around 1030 today? Gold and silver kitco charts took a dive at the same time.

    Figures

I just sent just under 800 pounds of power supplies and boards to Ewasted. Got there a few days ago but no results yet. I hope since it got there (got confirmation) on the 10th he doesn't cut my prices.

According to his buyers page "prices are determined by date of receipt", I would think you are ok.

Retail reports came out and showed retail sales diving around 8:30EST. Actual humans probably started bidding less and then around 1030 all the computer trades kicked in.

Quotes from overnight trading just now:

    Gold 1449.50
    silver 24.72
    copper 3.30

I'm not silly enough to believe I can accurately tell you what those numbers will be later today, tomorrow, next week, or next year, though. Anyone that says they can is full of it.

It's pretty bloody today as well. Its bleeding off hard early this morning. I was seeing 6% down for gold and almost 9-1/2% down for silver. Doc copper is off about 3% too. Tough couple of days and really it's been a tough 6-7 months......not looking too good at the moment. On gold anyway this pain doesn't stop in the 1300-1400 range we could easily see 1150.

Lot of bad data world wide has been shrugged off for a long time now. Anyone's guess if this is the start of something bigger but the world markets overall have been screwed up for so long with gov intervention....who knows what to make of any of it anymore.

On the cheap would be less then $500, if the bottom falls out it will be another 20 years before it peaks again.

The transmission just went on my truck this weekend. So today I was forced to sell the 200 lbs of copper I have aquired over the last month and a half since copper prices started declining in early March. It sucked selling it but at least there was no line at the small scale today!!

Makes me wonder about the gold is under valued threads. If oil prices would collapse the same way maybe food prices will go down.

IMO gold and silver prices are just another bubble getting ready to burst. Just like housing 80's dot com 90's and sketchy home loans 00's how many times are we going to let large banking firms take interest free government money meant to loan small business money and instead they use it in risky stock market investments and when they think the bubble is over they sell off and drop prices of stock and "invite the small guy in" only to get screwed. Next time they get caught with their pants down please don't bail them out the world will go on without giant banking corps with bad morals. We the people are taking the hit of these bad business morals and they keep getting richer. Diversify your investments and watch out for gold and silver history has a way of repeating itself.

As long as our country is going into debt more, these metals are worth saving. Less competition on ewaste. Save and sell later.
