I just started
ewaste buying. I service many towns and transferstations. Im a battery buyer. Anyways, I learned from the ground up. How electronics work. WHen you see a green board with a ton of resistors on it and some caps you can almost know its value sucks. At the same time find an board with ic chips and mlcc (use to be pl) and lots of gold plate put them aside. Im grading my looks and feel now.
I think the ewaste business is like the cat business. There is a lot more grades than you think. On the assay side certain boards are sure bought as low grade or mid and buyers know when sold they are paid better. We all need a little help. Dont steal lie or weigh wrong.
ITs like buying a gm cat as a domestic, it is but not true domestic it pays twice as much. Dont go pay aftermarket for it. Pay what is fair knowing you have a little more room when you sell to make up for that dam foil you bought as a small for!!
I just recently sold my boards. Of course I had a ton of apc back up units. I love batts. THey are green with lots of chokes and copper and low grade stuff. HEavy board though.
my pc boards I just sold mixed. I know there is like I bet 20 grades or more but I had a lot of late model cheap boards. I am learning the ropes still and maybe took a little less than if I had this guy school me but time is money for both of us.
Its Aaron and Im a scrapper at heart. Im in a tough position now so bear with me if I seem little under the weather. Im use to owning this business. You know what its like. Everyone is coming to you. You need a dam cop to direct traffic. $$ is comign in fast than you can spend. lol
Recycling is beautiful. Look forward to getting to know you.
