Scrap Metal Price, Pricelist - Metalcorp NZ
Current NZ prices per kg
NZ$225 for heavy metal insize and
NZ$170 for lightgauge sheet (per Ton)
NZ$6.47 for #2 Copper per Kg and
NZ$1.21 for Ali Domestic per Kg
Though I'd expect to get $6.70 for #2 Copper and $1.50 for Ali domestic at my yard at the moment.
I'm taking in quite a lot of nonferrous within the next two weeks.
Over 100Kg Copper #2,
100Kg odd Copper domestic/burnt.
5-6 sacks @30Kg each of Ali various
I swap my iron with a guy so I can get into his metal collection and scrap it down and keep the nonferrous.
That way he gets a helper for free and I get free nonferrous and he actually makes on the deal since I replace more iron by weight than I take away in nonferrous..
Also, because I am at his yard, it helps stop people from dumping rubbish and stealing the metal in it.
Though we still have a problem with 'rats'.
But we know who most of the rats are..
We are doing something soon to get rid of them, about the same time as when I cash up my nonferrous.
Oh, the NZ dollar is worth about 90 cents American.
