Just got $150/Ton in North Dakota. But it was primo stuff. Went straight from my trailer into a railroad car.
Money is not the root of all evil, the love of money is.
Tin down to $65/gross ton...... yikes :/
Tin down to $50/gross ton........... I now officially dont pick up tin for free
I got 0.09 cents per pound today, $180 per ton in western NC. I didn't even have 1,000lbs to hit their price break. I was pleasantly surprised!
Wow I haven't seen it as low as $50 a ton around here in probably 5 years.
This is a very scary aspect of this business , especially for those that do it for a living rather than a hobby.
Hoping those prices go up for you bud! Fairly low around here too at around $135/ton as of Friday.
I got dropped from 130 to 125 per m/t today and am gonna get to 120 per m/t next week apparently.
I told the scrap yard if they put me below 120 I am getting out of scrapping for now I will just hoard my scrap at my buddy's place.

Any sniffs from your side when prices are likely to rise back up???
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
Not really. Even the other yard I used to use is down to the same price and I've never seen them that low before!
I took some shred in about 3 weeks ago and it was 150 a ton. Called Wed and it's back up to 180 a ton.
I hauled in a load and got $110/ton for shred. Not sure what #1 prepared is at getting some saved up
Took a load in today of mixed appliance/tin and got $100/ton. Prepared was $140/ton. We never get the prices you guys back east get. I'm jealous!
Short iron back up to $200/ton here. That would put shred around $160-170, I believe. I only had a small, mixed load of short, but was pleasantly surprised at the price. There are two yards out of six in my area that will treat you right, and they are the two who get all of my iron.
I got $115 a ton this morning or 0.05 a pound. Down from $180 a ton 2 months ago.
Called my yard yesterday.. They are at $160/ton for sheet still.. Waiting for at least a $20/ton bump before I haul in.
Got $140 a ton for shred yesterday. It's held at that price since the summer.
