    Steel in my area is creeping up

    I took in some shred steel yesterday and it is up to $.06 a pound. It has gone as low as $.045 and bounced around up at .005 intervals. At least it is trending the right direction. This is in Houston.

    I got .0525 Saturday, which is up from .045 about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Copper was up a little also.

    Hi, All,
    scrap prices in UK still flat over size shear £115 per ton

    Frag feed, £90 per ton.
    per ton = 1000 kilos

    Its 0.0485 here in Palestine, texas. The low was $0.0350 two months ago.
    Copper #2 is $2.15 up from $1.92
    Yellow brass $1.30 up from $1.20
    Cans $0.49 up from 0.42
    Aluminum sheet $0.30 stagnant
    Extruded 0.38 cast 0.35
    Non-magnetic Stainless up $0.20 from 0.18

    Other yard has better prices on dirty alum at 0.19 and electric motors are 0.086 vs. 0.02 for anything dirty/compressor/electric motor at the first yard.
