    shred prices in Birmingham

    (for you Yankees Birmingham is in Alabama. .



    Was surprised to day to find shred prices at .06

    Same price here, went up a bit since a few months back. Hope it keeps trending up like copper!

    we were at 100/ton in New Brunswick in January/February, and hasn't been worth it to haul it in since. Its sitting at 50/ton here now

    Sealed units - .08 lb
    cans - .50 lb
    old sheet - .55 lb
    cast - .55
    1 Clean copper - 2.30 lb
    2 clean copper - 2.20 lb
    1 insul. copper - 1.20
    2 insul. copper - .90
    Batteries - .22 lb
    brass - 1.40 lb

    Some dropped more, others went up a little.
