For a load I brought in on the weekend clean steel was up to .09/lb, heavy melt #2 (first time I got this class) .10/lb. cast al clean was .50/lb and wire .65/lb.

Also noticed copper was down to 2.70/lb BB and Al had dropped to .74 for clean.

AA- You must have industries right there that are buying scrap from your yard as input. I don't think hardly anyone here in the states is getting that high as your "dropped" clean Alum price and your Cu seems really high as well (although I've never gotten "bright bare" for anything). Enjoy!!

It's the size of the yard I go to. They buy everything in any quantity. So Joe Shmoe can walk in with a tv and wire and stand in line with a feeder yard owner who has 3 gaylords of rims, brakes and copper. There is a 50lb/.05 premium on brass, copper, aluminum, SS etc.

DakotaRog - I'm thinking those prices are CAD, not USD.

I'm at the edge of West Philly near City Line Avenue. Right next to the suburban areas of Wynnewood, Ardmore, etc

Yeah, I should have thought about the exchange rate.

Talked to a nice guy from Mantobia out in the Black Hills last week. He said he got 80 cents on the CAN dollar when he came south. So, AA's 2.70 @ .8= $2.16 US for bright bare and .74 @ .8 =59 cents US for the Alum. Puts it more into context now...
