Closest yard is 1 cent a pound, next closest 2.5 cents, further is 3.5 cents a pound. Not surprisingly the larger yards are paying less.

Went to my usual yard yesterday, shred down to $0.02/lb

But also just figured out (by passing it randomly on an unrelated trip) that there is another scrap yard I never heard of or knew about that is actually 4 mins closer than my normal yard (20 min drive instead of 24). Called them and they are paying $0.035/lb so probably will take in there for a bit

$120 a ton here if you have more than one ton. Have to wear a face mask everywhere on their lot. It sucks unloading steel wearing a face mask.
    They reduced their hours.
But at least they are open. Place was closed for quite a while.
