I'm still getting .05 for empty computer carcasses which the yard calls appliances. How do they figure that??

Shred was up $15/ton a month ago. Now it's back down $10/ton. They're paying $55/ton. Two yards say bright copper could go as low as $1.00/lb. but still around $2.00 yet. Northern Nebraska.
Back to the 1980s for Cu prices but still 2015 cost-of-living. That would be a drag I'd have to pack some 5 gallon buckets away at that price and forget in the corner for some years...
.04 on 7/3/15 in Temple, PA
I went to the yard today, needed to get the load off my trailer. Waterbury CT -Albert Brothers
As of this morning
Light Iron - $50.00 gross ton- computer cases, appliances, lawn mowers, thin metals
#1 Steel - $90.00 gross ton- brake rotors, brake drums, thick steel parts, drive axels, drag links, pipe
Sheet Aluminum - .42 a lb
Stainless Steel(irony) .30 lb
bought in 1100 # mostly light and heavy steel a few lbs AL, Stainless only got $50.00 total
I am going to have to sit on my brass ( yes BRASS ) , copper till the price goes up .
We are at .04 a pound in SW MO. Just dropped a penny the past couple weeks. Most everything else is still manageable for now...
The lady at the desk said that they can ship steel to China, have it refined and produced and ship it back here as product for less than it takes to keep the entire process here...so that certainly isn't helping.
