$320 CDN for NT on Shred here in Niagara Region of Ontario...
Sioux City shred $200/nt yesterday.
Montreal CDN 120.00 / MT, but most local yards currently buy #2 at CDN 165.00 / MT.
In Vegas today:
HMS Prep: 245
HMS unprep: 215
Tin: 190
Cast: 300
Shred at one yard $180/ton
Another yard $165/ton
Another yard $140/ton
Go figure they are all within 10-15 miles of each other

I haul in my shred about 3 to 4 times a year. I've noticed that prices have been going up and my last trip it was 100 a ton. I called them yesterday and they said 50 a ton for shred which caused me to laugh in the persons ear followed by a "no thanks".
The next call was to PSC in Nashville and they are giving 160 a ton. This is why I always tell everyone to check around on prices. Now what I need to do is load up maybe 5 computers (they don't take computers) and show them that all PCB's and plastic has been removed.
Today I checked the prices around here. The main yards on the island of Montreal still buy at CDN 165.00 / MT, but in the suburbs and outside the metro area, the prices go from CDN 120.00 / MT to CDN 240.00 / MT. The best prices were from some of the smaller locally-owned yards and the worst one was from the biggest player in the province (the one who buy all the competition yards he can). It is a bit surprising, because that corporate guy would get a better price due to his higher volume and his international sales, instead he's taking a bigger cut on the price.
Unprepared HMS 260/ton in Chicago Heights Ill
0.05 lb/5.00 cwt/100.00 a ton has been the case for at least a decade in NC, SC, GA, and AL. Right before it ended up there it was 0.19lb/19 cwt/380 a ton.
I run a 20' tandem car hauler with around 8 tons, and a 36' semi dump trailer usually around 30 tons, and they don't move at those prices.. You'll see people on these forums, or driving minivans and crossovers at the yards that you just know don't realize they have little to no profit margin no matter how much they process; I guess it makes sense if you're retired or have everything paid off and just need small fun money....
I'm just glad I have options that pay more.... It usually takes an estate clear-off for me to even do a run these days...

I was just sitting here thinking about my trip to the yard today to get rid of about 800-1000 pounds of PC cases and other shred. Not really looking forward to the trip. I would prefer someone local stop by my house and I would give it to them. I'm only interested in the circuit boards and other parts that can be sold for better than scrap prices.

Computer and PCB bulk pallets right now go for about what the gold they produce does... That stopped being profitable after gated community families seen people doing it on youtube and started over paying for bulk assuming gold will spike or it'll be currency over lead during fallout(lol)
I'm having a hard time following his posts
Around here noone in a gated community is proceesing escrap.....not enough value for the time invested
Shred prices are down in Montreal. Major yards buy now at CDN 135.00 (USD 107.12) / MT instead of CDN 165.00 (USD 130.92) and, in the suburbs, I got CDN 100.00 (USD 79.35) / MT instead of CDN 120.00 (USD 95.22) / MT.
Shred down 40/ton. Was 220 now 180/ton.
Shred down another 40/ton. Now at 140/ton. Im actually happy, to much competition out there. i see scrappers every ware i go now a days.... So Bye Bye little leaguers, wanna be's and soccer dad scrappers.
