Tungsten rings

Hey, new member here.
My friend gets tungsten rings from inside pumps and he has told me that if I can find somewhere that give a decent price for them we can split it. I believe he said that the local recycling center only gives 5-6 dollars/lb for them and that is somewhat of a rip off.
So what kind of prices should I be looking for and anything else you might think I should know.

PS - I've also got some monel bolts....If I go to sell them do I need to remove the washers from each one?

By tungston, do you mean tungston carbide or pure W?

Also, yes, you will definitely want to take the washers off of the Monel bolts, assuming that they are not Monel too.

What would a scrap place do if I didnt remove the non-monel washer from the bolts...just curious.

Depending on what kind of mood the guy working the scale is in your material will get knocked down to the lowest grade of material present in the batch...That's why it is so important to sort everything if you want top dollar.

I am pretty sure they are tungston carbide, how much can I expect per pound? Most of them arent very dirty.

Oh and the washers are monel so don't have to worry about it.
