Different yards different prices. One here only pays copper Content $.04 others pay electric motor prices $.15 - $.19

My local yard here is only paying .10 lb for motors (large-small) and transformers (large-small).

they is the scrapyard lady and i read on one of the forums why that is..people call about copper and then bring in something else and want copper prices ..so i dont blame them for not giving out prices and also letting people rate shop...but i dont wanna take in a bucket of smallcbm by theirself...thanks

If they don't want to give prices over the phone, find a different scrapyard!

I always call and get prices before I haul anything in. That determines which yard I go to.

One category at my yard - electric motors. Doesn't matter if it's aluminum or copper, big or small (0.07 lb.)

You might want to keep track of the time spent to salvage a pound of the little motors and see if the juice is worth the squeeze.
