    NiCd and NiMH batteries

Prices on these just basically disappeared in our area. Any good leads on where to send NiCd or NiMH batteries??

Local prices from several different buyers:

NiCd, FREE!! at least they don't charge yet
    NiMH, from $0.03 to $0.20/lb.

If you have them, sell them...quick.

    Ken

the DOT regulations requiring individual bagging, or taping the contacts make the shipping cost too high to leave any margin, add to that a P***-poor nickel price, no one wants them... well no one can make money on them

Market is, however, as you mentioned, "disappearing"

I gave mine to Lowes last weekend at least they will get these rechargeable batteries recycled. I had a gallon pail full of Ni mh, Ni Cad and Lithium rechargeable batteries and am glad these are gone. Used to be able to sell them around here but not any more...
