Prices are up: Light Iron & #1 Prepared Steel - Page 2

Same here, a few weeks back has mostly computer cases and a few brake rotors- got 27.00 for the load ( 1200 lbs approx)
Last week 1400 lbs computer cases got $44.00 . Now that pays for fuel AND breakfast WEEEOOOOO !
Going again this week with another 1200+ - I had alot of cases piled up from the winter months when steel was 3/4 penny

Prices are up again in NJ:

#1 Steel: $6.50 per hundred lbs.
Cast Iron: $6.50 per hundred lbs.
Light Iron: $5.50 per hundred lbs.

Price for Yellow Brass just went up $0.10 today to $1.30/lb!

70 a ton for tin
90 for unprepared
110 for prepared

Shred was just at 115/ton here and just moved back to 100/ton again yesterday.

just got .065/lb here in Buffalo for shred

Yesterday, prices for Light Iron & #1 Prepared Steel dropped by $1.00/100 lbs.

$0.053 here per pound yesterday. Better than nothing, I guess.
95 pounds of Aluminum made the trip worthwhile.

i am just south of DC this week. planned on doing some DC CL free scrapping, but the two yards close to me is at $2 per 100lbs for shed.

i think i will pass for now.
