    Do you know what it was before this price jump? Just wondering how big the jump was.

    Previous price was 159 a gross ton. Was briefly at 164 a gross ton for a few days, but then dropped to 159.

    Started to see 18-wheelers hauling cars again through town (something I have not seen in quite some time)
    Mills must be hungry!!
    I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

    cars have not raised East of Chicago, still$130 a ton

    was like $60 about six months ago... I have 3 to scrap out

    Just a few weeks ago the price for shred in Louisville,Ky was $45 ton. I hope ours went up to about $100 too.
