i need to thin out my hoard...

500-700lbs of al/cu coils (clean)

500lbs motors

500lbs transformers



1000lbs transformer windings and cu tubing

200 al rims

i will be traveling to and from north central wv to eastern jersey first of next week.

where can i get the best buck for my bang?

Rockaway Recycling in North Jersey posts their prices online, not great right now. But nothing is. That's quite a hoard by the way.

This may suck but you may have to sell to multiple yards to get the best price. So call!

I would consider Rockaway in NJ but for me they are too far and my local yard Albert Brothers in Waterbury CT does fine by me. I hear there is a good yard in Bridgeport CT but have not checked it out. You'll have to call to get prices though- they don't have them posted on a web site.
If you tell them what you are bringing you may get a better quote. Good luck . The market is so soft right now it's too bad you could not hold on longer in hopes that things will move in a positive direction.

It makes me wonder about what role the Olympics will play.

It was after the Chinese Olympics things went bad, but that's China.

I called around, armor metals in Pennsauken Township seems to have the best pricing across the board in western NJ.

I may just do a load of compressors, motors, batteries, and the tubing from a/c units (takes up more room lb for lb than windings and such)



I always figured the good pre-china Olympics prices where a result of the Chinese building all of the new stadiums, buildings, etc

The buildup for the Olympics paled in comparison to whole (empty) cities China had been building up to that point.
