Hi Aussiescrapper, good to see another Skippy on the forum! In Perth WA I am definitely not seeing some of your prices. Bare bright rarely cracks $5 near me. Probably get a little more than 55c on batteries but closer to 10c for copper bearing motors. Maybe because NSW is doing a bit better than WA right now, this optimism is reflected in the prices?

I don't normally post in these kind of threads, since you folks are usually sharing prices for your area...which I do enjoy reading!

What makes me post now tho is...Your both Aussies. I got a buddy I game with from your way, Perth is where he works in the oil industry, so just had to say...I know someone there!

You aussies are good folks, even if your beer sucks.

Sirscrapalot - Just kidding on the beer!

Sirscrapalot not sure what Aussie beer you had but if you are drinking Fosters you have been sold a pup! No self respecting Aussie drinks that stuff. Strictly an export beer. There are several tasty Aussie brews. However someone put a Budweiser in my hand the other day and I liked it! But I wonder about advertising and reality because my pastor is an American and he screwed up his face when I mentioned Buds to him and he said it isn't as popular as its made out to be.

Yep because of gas and mining in resource rich Western Australia, the place has become quite multi national and we have a lot of Americans and Canadians etc. Fun fact: Herbert Hoover was a young mining engineer in our gold boom town Kalgoorlie before he went on to his political career and the USA presidency

@Silversurfer Funny...my buddy says the same about Fosters. lol.

I'd have to say your Pastor is correct on Budweiser. They do a great marketing job, but it's been a long time since they've truly been "The King of Beers". Love the commercials. Can't say the same for the actual beer. It's not bad...but if I got other options..I'll take them. Some will disagree an that is fine. Some also think Coor's is really beer an not colored water...who am I to judge.

Do I have a favorite? Not really...I like all kinds. If it's cold and free even better. Ha!

Sirscrapalot - Time is long and fate is fickle ... My destiny still lies before me! And where it beckons — there shall soar the Silver Surfer! - Silver Surfer..the comic book one, not our Aussie friend. Maybe their both one an the same..../insertymysterythemehere.

    I will do so.

My math may be wrong but you are getting $2.39 a pound for bare bright? Copper bullion (spot copper) is $2.14 USD as of today. Are your prices australian dollars?
