I'll try to put it another way. I think we've both been doing this for awhile.
Think about the trend from large to small. First there was the shift from towers & desktops to laptops. Next, there was the shift from laptops to tablets. Next, there was the shift from tablets to small hand held devices like the Ipad mini & cell phones.
We will see that trend reflected in the waste stream. The things we scrap out will get progressively smaller. Hate to say it but ... it's gonna be pretty slim pickings when the heft of what we're taking in is tablets & cell phones.
Does it make sense when put this way ?
I'll try putting it another way as well. I pump gas all day long. The customers come in and there's a brief amount of wait time while i'm filling up their tanks. They occupy themselves with their cell phones. I'm not seeing any tablets, laptops, or towers in their cars ... just a bazillion cell phones.
It's awfully disconcerting for an old dinosaur like me. I cherish my towers. Can't imagine ever owning a cell phone though have to admit that they can do some amazing things. I can see why most others have already made the shift.
