I had my biggest load ever last week. I haul with my 86 Chevy C-30 dually and a flat 16 foot car trailer. All loaded and unloaded by hand. Weighed in at 4348 pounds and was unfortunately mostly shred steel. Maybe 20 bucks worth of copper. Made 5 cents a pound which is not to bad in Mesa Az in today's world. The yard is close to me so my profit margin is high. I only haul for one place now. A scratch & dent appliance store. I used to advertise on Craigslist but people want me to drive 20 miles for a water heater even though my ad is clear I have a limited pick up area and won't go out of it for a dishwasher or water heater unless they want to pay $10 bucks. That scared them all off.
