    Al extrusion

What is everyone getting for extrusion? I had 120 lbs. of clean extrusion Saturday but I had to sell it to the yard that pays the least for non-ferrous that stays open till 7pm on Monday-Saturday and till 4 on Sunday - so I chose to get ripped off cause I didn't want to have to wait till next Saturday.

I know I got robbed where I went so .25/lb seems not so bad after all. I wonder what it was at the place where I normally take my non-ferrous...

tariffs and china is being ****s about non aluminum things in the aluminum. I know we had a mountain of high percentage (80%) aluminum frag (what you get after it goes through the shredder) at the yard I was working at when I left and they claimed they couldn't move it because they couldn't find a buyer. from what I heard all the people that were buying it were also stuck with huge piles of their own aluminum they couldn't sell.

I know the sealed units also stopped going to china. I believe the last load I put on a truck went to Indonesia or India. But hopefully once I come back from this deployment I can get most of them going to Ohio or Pa. to run through a heavily modified log splitter I have in the prototype stages of being turned into a copper puller.

im getting the equivalent of .63c per lb
    R20 per kg

i think my math is correct

only problem is that my yard takes only the thin alum as extrusion...the thicker, heavier slabs are accepted as old roll hard.

    Hi
I'm interested in buying Al- Scrap (tense, zorba, Taint/tabor): contact me for more detail, I would like to make an offer for the 80% frag Aluminum as well.

I was quoted .35 today east of Pittsburgh. The yard will bump that a nickel for quantity. Others range from .30 to .33.

I would need some info. I don't work there anymore but I'm pretty sure they still didn't find a buyer. the pile is getting really out of hand.

    It's a little outdated:

    2/9/19
    Aim Recycling
    Bangor Maine

    Clean Extrusion: .32
    Clean Sheet: .25
    Clean Cast: .27
    Irony Aluminum: .10

Gasoline, at our station, has gone up ten cents /gal. every week for the past three weeks. It's a seasonal increase that happens about this time every year. Hopefully, scrap prices will start to go up as well. They always seem to bottom out in the winter and then go up in the spring / summer.
