Weitsman Huge December Price Increase

Anyone know what is going on with the Weitsman huge price increase of $50 per GT for shred (up to $155 GT Owego)? I can't find any news that steel mill prices are up $50 per GT for shredded steel for December. $30 yes, but not $50.

Is Weitsman short on material to feed his shredders? Or is he trying to grab all available shred and put maximum pressure on his competition?

$228 GT for brake drums is amazing, that is over 10 cents/lb. Yards by me are only paying 5.5 cents/lb. And I am near the Delaware River and export docks.

I keep hoping Weitsman will expand into the Trenton NJ / Philadelphia area.
