My personal car gave up so I scrapped it. 190/ton.

This yard has you pull off after weigh in, they verify the title matches the vehicle, then they off load. But before they could even get that much done the guy made sure I knew I wouldn't get as much since I "took the cat off". Well duh I did. Like I am going to sell it for 9.5 cents a lb.

Still got the 190 I was quoted before so I don't know why it was such an issue for him.

It was a yard worker. Unless there is a commission/wage pay scale, he shouldn't care either way.

I got more selling it incomplete, (330.60) versus whole (300). And will make more when I sell the radiator, wire, cat, etc. I also pulled the window latches. They are going for decent money on ebay.

Wish I had more capital. I've come across a few boats recently that would make a nice pay day. Late 70 Lincoln type boats.

Do you ever look other parts up as well before scrapping it? I've sold door handles, rear view mirrors, plastic turn signal housings, hood ornaments, etc on ebay in the past and made decent bank from it. If/when I get to the point where I can scrap cars I plan on ripping all that sort of stuff off it before I scrap it.
